New K-Sann

New radio show this thursday 28 of november :

We’ll broacast an interview with Cultural Warriors and a new chronicle about the mento music from the 30’s. As usual, we’ll make a dj set during the secont part of the show with our best selection included classic reggae tunes and dubplates. Obvisously, we’ll play some brand new dub releases like the new Dubkasm, Storm&Break, Indica dubs, K-Sann and more… Joka Jeff and Mighty Mat will be behind the desks in featuring with Ichman.

The show starts at 9.30 pm on Radio Panik.

We are happy & proud to announce the birth of a new chronicle on Reservoir Dub. Jamma Dim will tell us about the different jamaican styles and put them in their historic context… Tune in this 28 november 2013 for a first edition about the Mento!

Thjis sometimes become a real « Mass effect ». Let’s go deep inside the real Wisdom of this music and the Inspiration that helped this music to cross the ages. As we live today in a era where style rise and die in a few years, the Jamaican Music keeps its athenticity since Dozens of years.  « Stylee Stories », the new Reservoir Dub chronicle, will make us travel through different jamaican styles and their history, from their roots which begin deeper than the Roots music itself  till its numerous influences and evolutions. A long story, that begins long time ago… »

New podcast!

Follow the link and listen our interview with the dub activists DJ Stryda and Digistep, members of Dubkasm, outta UK. We met them at the last Reggae Bus Festival in september 2013. Dubkasm is one of the key components in the international roots and dub movement, originally formed in 1994 during the emergence period of the UK ‘digital dub’ sound.

Digistep is playing sax and DJ Stryda is running his own radio show : Suffera’s Choice. They released some of their tunes on their recordlabel called Suffera’s Choice as well. This interview is about the soundsystem culture, their carreer and their big tune called « Victory ».
