After spending the last 5 years broadcasting the radioshow, organizing parties (and programming for third), performing sessions here and there, we wanted to make this birthday special by releasing a free digital compilation.

The goal of this compilation was to gather artists that collaborated with Reservoir Dub at many level these last 5 years. From interventions in the radioshow to performances at our parties. Of course, we have the aim to promote their music, but also giving thanks to the public with a high quality free compilation.

It’s obvious for Reservoir Dub now that we’ll keep on releasing Albums / Maxis / Compilation / Singles from local artists and more. So, stay tuned for it !

New album : inna digital age

New radio show this thursday 26 of september!

We’ll have a lot of brand new release to play tonight! First of all, the french producer Weeding Dub has a new album called « inna digital age » released on Control Tower. We’ll play some tunes from the project between Brain Damage and Vibronics : a cd called empire soldiers. Finally, the recordlbabel Irie Ites just released a compilation called « a decade of reggae music » with 14 tunes released on Irie Ites between 2003 and 2013.

As every show, we make a dj set during the secont part of the show with our best selection : some classic reggae tunes, dubplates and some brand new dub releases included tunes from the first Reservoir Dub compilation : lost in dub#1

Twinkle Brothers

New radio show this thursday!

For the last show with Jamma Dim in the studio, we’ll have the happiness to share with you an interview with the legendary band Twinkle Brothers, recorded at VK in april 2013.  As every show, we’ll bring our best selection with some classic reggae tunes and some brand new dub releases! We’ll play a tune from the new Weeding Dub‘s 10inch released on Control Tower Record.

Nouveau Dubcast!

Cette émission était consacrée au Brussels Reggae Festival qui se tenait les 12&13 avril 2013 au B.E.B. Nous avions fait le point sur les artistes présents dans la première partie d’émission ainsi qu’un petit set dans la seconde partie d’émission comprenant une sélection de Joka Jeff et de Mat Mighty Patch.

Gros plan dans ce mix sur quelques artistes programmés au BRF ainsi que sur des nouvelles galettes toutes fraiches (Salomon Heritage, Control Tower,…)

L’émission a été enregistrée le 28 mars 2013 dans les studios de Radio Panik.

Brussels Reggae Festival

Nouvelle émission ce jeudi 28 mars 2013 :

A l’approche de la première édition du Brussels Reggae Festival qui se tiendra les 12&13 avril au B.E.B., nous passerons en revue une partie des artistes à l’affiche du festival. Nous parlerons de Johnny Osbourne, Lone Ranger, Mykal Rose, Cultural Warriors, Mungos Hifi, etc. Nous en profiterons d’ailleurs pour découvrir les nouvelles sorties d’Earl 16 – Walls of the city – et du canadien Dubmatix– Rebel Massive – qui seront également sur la scène du BRF.

Bien qu’ils ne seront pas de la partie, nous vous présenterons deux autres nouveautés avec tout d’abord l’album du français Ackboo – turn the amplifier – ainsi que le tout dernier 7inch du label français Control Tower avec Little R qui toaste sur un riddim de Weeding Dub. Celui-ci sera joué dans notre dj set de deuxième partie d’émission.

Comme d’habitude, l’émission commence à 21h30 sur Radio Panik. Soyez attentifs, nous offrirons plusieurs tickets combo pour le festival durant l’émission.

Nouveau dubcast à (re)découvrir :

Après avoir reçu les membres du soundsystem de Dub Fi Youth pour un set d’une heure spécial Brussels Reggae Festival dans les studios le 14 mars dernier, nous nous sommes également mis derrière les platines. Appuyez sur le player et laissez vous porter par la sélection allant du  roots reggae au dub stepper de Joka Jeff Obadub et Mat Mighty Patch avec Ichman au micro. On vous propose notamment quelques nouveautés dans ce mix avec la troisième sortie du label Sir Runnin Records, un 7inch sur lequel on retrouve Unlisted Fanatic feat. Collieman mais aussi Drum Sound, la 8e sortie du label Control Tower avec Fitta Warri au chant et Meekman pour le riddim.
